Welcome to Living Arts Dance Studio, Bandar Kinrara, Puchong

Founded by Teresa Chian, Living Arts or LA aims to be your neighborhood multi-arts center where dancing comes to life! Come be happy, beautiful and free. Our studio are respected from those outside as being the best for discipline, fun, structure and quality. Here, Living with the Arts with me, your heart feels at home.

In November 2006 Living Arts Dance Studio was established as a base and an avenue to sustain all creative ideas and artistic collaborations. Our projects include:

Charity Christmas Party that hosted 250 people
Holiday Dance Workshops for children and young working adults
Dance & Capoeira workshops
Outdoor Public Performance at Asia Café. This mini showcase takes place twice a month to create awareness mainly for Capoeira, Contemporary Dance and Jazz Funk
Belly Dancing Hafla for over 60 people, in collaboration with Elwarda Dance
P.A.T.C.H stands for Passion Aiding The Children, a charity drive to celebrate Living Arts’ 1st Anniversary and to raise RM7,000 for two special needs children from Taman Megah Handicapped Children’s Home
Yoga Trance Dance – Healing in Motion, in collaboration with Angel Cast’er
Intensive Dancers’ Training Course – 3 months
Sekolah Sri KDU, teaching dance as compulsory subject under the Structured Performing Arts Department
Garden International School, teaching yoga and dance as a CCA program
High School Musical workshop at Kids Planet, Kota Kemuning
Basic Acro and Partner Flying Yoga workshops for couples in Sun Yoga KL, TTDI
Annual Student Showcase 2008 in Sri KL school, in collaboration with The Music Professionals Academy of Performing Arts
Freedom in Motion workshop at The Violet Flame, combining dance, yoga, music and relaxation

Services

Our high ceiling serves as our most significant feature which distinguishes us from most dance studios. Additionally, our huge windows allow sunlight to flood the studio for a more natural feel, making Living Arts stand out as one of the most unique studios in town.

Despite our use of mirrors, we maintain our belief that students should learn to ‘see’ with their bodies, and not just with their eyes. This promotes awareness of the body and mind as students learn to coordinate their movements through ‘feel’, rather than ‘sight’.

As a result, Living Arts cultivates a culture of learning and sharing without boundaries, putting more focus in the art rather than exams and competitions.
