YES! We threw a party for all the June babies
on June 25 at 4.00pm - 6.00pm.

They all came dressed very prettily with their friends and family members. It was a potluck party; we had soooooo much food. Can you guess why I forgot to take pictures? That’s right; because I was busy eating

During the 2-hour party, we played movement games, danced our hearts out and watched a few dance demonstrations. Here are videos taken during the demo:

ENJOY!

Dance enthusiasts, beginners and seasoned salseros filled up Living Arts Studio last Tuesday for the LA Salsa & Bachata Social Party.

Audiences and dancers were treated to savory finger foods like tapas (prepared by our very own masterchef Felix Tay who is also a salsero), spaghetti , chicken sausages, sandwiches (by Alison; salsa student) and chocolate fudge (Danial; salsa student). Fruit punch and the much-needed ice chilled beer were also prepared to quench thirsts.

The crowd started flowing in at 8.00pm and the studio gradually got merrier as the evening progresses. By 9.00pm, DJ Selva heated up the dance floor with his caliente collection of songs which caters to both the Cuban and LA Salsa dance flavours . Also not forgetting is the must-have sensual and romantic Bachata songs!

By 9.30pm, a series of free and fun workshops followed suit. We managed to invited guest instructors Kosar and Amar to facilitate workshops to teach some basic Salsa & Bachata moves . Then, Mindy introduced the lively Samba line dance; Magalehna and got everyone to groove.

More people poured in at 11.00pm, some friends got lost and came late. But better late than never! By this time, DJ Selva took over to spin more delectable songs for all the chicos y chicas. By midnight, the studio got even busier and noisier. We carried on dancing up until 1.30am.
To our students and friends who supported us in so many ways to make this a memorable event, A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO YOU. See you in our next event.
